German radio personality Jan Hahn congratulates Martin Hess, Germany's first radio millionaire.

SCA Makes Radio History in Germany

"Where's Jan Hahn?" was the question. The answer netted a German radio fan a cool one million Euro - and SCA was there to help make radio history.

When Energy 103.4 wanted to promote its new ENERGY-Morning Show, the radio station teamed up with SCA's global partner, Sales Promotions and Solutions (SPS). A customized version of SCA's Money Bags™ seemed a perfect match for the Morning Show campaign. Listeners tuned in each morning for a hint about where the show's host, Jan Hahn, would be later that day. Those who spotted Hahn earned a chance at the Money Bags™ $1 million Euro prize by shouting "Hey Jan Hahn from ENERGY 103.4, pass
me that million Euro, sharp's the word."

Next, the lucky listener tried his or her luck with the Money Bags™. Seven of the 13 bags held a winning symbol, six
a losing symbol. If the listener selected all seven of the bags with the winning symbol, he or she won one million Euro. Those who didn't win the grand prize
still received 100 Euro for each winning symbol drawn.

On February 25, 2002, Martin Hess became Germany's first radio Euro millionaire. He spotted Jan Hahn in a subway, and after shouting the magic,
he successfully drew all seven winning

relieved the station of the responsibility of covering the grand prize and allowed the station to extend the contest beyond what it had originally planned, secure in the knowledge that a second winner wouldn't be a problem.

"For us, 'Where's Jan Hahn' was definitely our greatest and most successful campaign over the past few years. That's due in no small part to the excellent cooperation we received from SCA/SPS," says Fabian von Wachsmann, head of the station's promotion department. "We would never
