For Radio Station |
Searcy, AR - Bells, whistles, and screams...these are the sounds alerting All Hit 107 Y FM KKSY listeners that its time to try and win over $10,000! SCA, KKSY, and First American Cash Advance partnered to bring local listeners the chance to win prizes, including the grand prize of $10,710. The name of the game was Y107 First American Cash Advance Super Serial Payoff. This exciting promotion really hooked Searcy residents on the radio station’s frequency, 107.1. More local businesses want to advertise with us because of the listenership base we now have, says Kit Caldwell, Y107 station manager. He added that the promotion was absolutely successful. |
Y107 ran the contest three times a day for over three weeks. When listeners heard the special sound, it was their signal to try and be caller number seven the last number in Y107. The callers goal was to try and match the last four numbers of a $1 (USD) bills serial number to the stations preselected four-digit number. To further tie the contest into the stations frequency, the serial number also had to end in seven. |

| Nobody in the
last fifty years has done a contest like this and to have a winner was amazing,
says Caldwell. According to Caldwell, the contest definitely met the stations objectives of increasing listenership and providing sponsorship prizes so callers could win.
