Dallas, TX - Representatives at SCA wanted to make sure they stood out from the crowd at Promo Expo 2003. To boost booth traffic at this industry trade show, they rolled out SCA’s exciting new Scan 2 Win™ promotion.
Designed not only to build traffic but to create a customer database, the contest succeeded on both counts. SCA’s booth traffic increased 25 percent over that of previous years, and the promotion itself attracted over 250 attendees.
To alert conference attendees about the promotion, SCA distributed game pieces via trade show attendee bags. Attendees were invited to visit the booth for a chance to win $25,000 plus other great prizes. To play, attendees first registered at the booth by filling in blanks on a custom Web site. Then, they had their game pieces scanned and instantly were alerted by the computer if they were the big winner. Everyone won something since SCA guaranteed a prize for all players.
To keep SCA fresh in attendees’ minds even after the conference, the Scan 2 Win™ program automatically generated e-mails thanking attendees for playing.
By the end of the conference, SCA had captured demographic information on over 250 quality conference attendees. “We had a dramatic increase in traffic at our booth, and were able to record key information about potential clients,” says SCA representative Sheila Murphy. “The demo was also a chance to show clients that this is a hassle-free promotion -- SCA does everything from providing the scanner to sending out the follow-up e-mails.”
