Jeweler Wins Customers
With JackPot™ Promotion

Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada – With the competition just a few doors down in a local mall, Canadian International Jewellers needed a big promotion to grab shoppers' attention. The jeweler customized SCA's JackPot™ Machine with tremendous results!

“The event was awesome – it has been the most successful event for us by far,” says owner Bearj Shimoon. “Even during a soft economy, the period during the promotion was a success, and I do relate that directly to the contest.”

Customers visited the store for the chance to win big by simply pulling the JackPot's lever. The jeweler offered customers the opportunity to win one of 13 prizes, including a trip for two to Las Vegas and the grand prize of a brand new Mustang GT, valued at $37,500.

The machine also generated custom coupons good for discounts on future purchases. “That was a terrific traffic generator! How else can you keep customers coming back time and again to your store?” says Shimoon.

Shimoon promoted the contest with radio, newspaper ads, and in-store advertising. The most visible advertising of all, the grand prize — a fire engine red Ford Mustang GT — was on display in front of the store…and directly across from a competitor.

One lucky winner scored the trip to Las Vegas within the first ten days of the contest. The Mustang GT — covered by SCA — remained on display for just over a month before Alberta resident William Savant made the lucky pull and won the car, which he gave to his son.

The event proved so popular that Shimoon plans to run it again. “SCA's JackPot Promotion created traffic for my store and let us offer our customers an awesome prize. No one else can give my business that kind of a boost. I'm a believer in SCA.”
