Bank Increases Customer Base with Kiosk Promotion

Lacey, WA - To increase foot traffic and entice potential customers to visit the grand opening celebration of its Hawks Prairie financial center, Venture Bank offered customers the chance to instantly win $25,000 cash with SCA's Scan-2-Win™ promotion.

"We wanted to grow deposits and bring in new customers while promoting the opening of our newest financial center," said a representative for Venture Bank. "We had success with the Scan-2-Win promotion in the past at other financial center openings and thought it would be a great way to promote this center."

Venture Bank mailed out direct mail pieces with unique bar codes to customers and prospects in the area. Customers brought their mail piece into the bank and scanned it at the kiosk, which immediately notified them if they were a winner.

Prizes up for grabs included a seven-night, all-inclusive trip to Ixtapa, Mexico, a $500 savings bond, gift certificates to local merchants, Venture Bank merchandise and the $25,000 cash prize.

Once again, the promotion proved to be a success. Venture Bank had over 500 people visit the center and play the Scan-2-Win game in the promotion's two week timeframe. They opened several new accounts and added about 50 new customers.

"People responded positively to the promotion. They enjoyed the opportunity to come and see if they were a winner, while at the same time seeing the new building. We also experienced a high volume of calls asking about the promotion," said the representative.
