Looking to boost sales during a historically slow time, LINE-X and its agency, R&W
Creative Group, developed a promotion that would encourage truck dealerships to sell
their spray-on bedliner to consumers. Working together with SCAinteractive, the
"Winter Warm-Up Sales Event," provides LINE-X franchisees with a tool that not only
encourages sales, but gives them a way to establish relationships with dealerships in their
area.
Dealership employees are given a scratch card with a unique PIN for each spray-on
bedliner they sell. The employee then enters the PIN, his or her name, and information
on the truck sold into a page on the LINE-X Web site. Each Friday, dealership
employees check the Web site again to see the list of weekly winners.
Up for grabs in the 12-week sweepstakes are weekly $500 cash prizes. "Our customers,
automotive dealer employees, appreciate the ease of the online entry and the chance to
win each week," said a representative. "For us, the savings we see in shipping and
fulfillment in running an online promotion really add up — this has been a very cost-
effective solution for our client."
It has also been a very effective sales solution for LINE-X - so far, 1,500 entries have
been received. "SCA has been able to help us pull together a promotion that on all
accounts is a great success!" said the representative. |

To extend the spray-on bedliner promotion, LINE-X also offered consumers visiting their store the chance to win a free bedliner or mail in rebates via a scratch off card. |
