Pennsylvania Radio Station Awards $50,000 and Attracts Interest at Live Broadcast With JackPot™ Machine

99.9 The Hawk and promotion sponsor Desmond Pools & Spas made a splash at Musikfest 2009, an annual ten-day music and entertainment festival.  SCA’s $50,000 JackPot Machine provided the Classic Hits station with a fully customizable turnkey promotional solution. On the second day of the festival, Troy Strunk of East Stroudsburg stopped by The Hawk’s booth to try his luck.  He has taken his turn at the JackPot Machine every year since Musikfest’s inception but has never won a prize as great as this year - $50 GRAND!

“The JackPot Machine is the biggest draw for us,” said a representative.  “We quadrupled our traffic! Musikfest attendees were lined up 100 people deep to play.  Each one simply pulled the machine’s handle and watched three wheels spin and land on one of several prize combinations.  When Strunk’s spin caused the reels to line up with the three red grand prize-winning symbols, $50,000 - $50,000 - $50,000, everyone was in shock! This was the largest monetary prize ever awarded by the Classic Hits station, and it also ranked as the biggest cash prize ever awarded in the history of Lehigh Valley radio. 

Representatives from 99.9 The Hawk, along with Desmond Pools and Spas,were proud to be a part of a life-changing event.  Strunk was presented with a check for $50,000 on the last day of Musikfest 2009.

SCA Promotions verified the winning combination in three business days and 99.9 The Hawk had a $50,000 check just two days later. “We are thrilled to be working with SCA,” said the representative. “The JackPot Machine works…and this year we had a winner!  We can’t think of anything else to take to our remotes that will drive this much traffic.”
