SCA Underwrites a $1 Mil Winning Team

Fancy this: you’ve been named head coach of a professional football team and you’re charged with recruiting the top player in each of ten positions — within the league’s salary cap, of course. The reward for your efforts is neither a Super Bowl ring nor a new crystal ball, but rather a cool $1,000,000 in cash. That’s the essence of “Coach’s Clipboard,” an Internet fantasy football contest that is now being played on-line at Sandbox.com, a site that features sports, games, contests, and articles. SCA is pleased to be underwriting the million-dollar contest, which challenges member-contestants to correctly guess the top NFL player in a variety of categories (quarterback, AFC and NFC running back, AFC and NFC wide receiver, tight end, defensive line, linebacker, defensive back and kicker). Players are awarded points according to specific performances for passing, rushing, receiving, or return yards. A contestant who has all ten top players on his roster in any given week wins the million dollars. Additional prizes will be awarded at the end of the season as well. The contestant with the highest number of points wins a satellite TV dish system and a year’s worth of programming. The first runner-up wins an authentic football helmet from the team of his choice. The second runner-up wins an authentic jersey, and the next 200 runners-up each win a “Coach’s Clipboard“ T-shirt. The contest runs between September 12 and January 3. See it in action at www.sandbox.com.
