Cardtronics “Win a Ferrari”
To attract attendees to their booth at the BAI Retail Delivery Conference, Cardtronics, provider of customized ATM solutions, created a promotion that made a big impression. With SCA’s help, they were able to offer trade show attendees the chance to win a new Ferrari 360 Spider, placed on display in their booth.
Objectives:
- Increase booth traffic.
- Differentiate Cardtronics from other exhibitors.
- Choose a promotion, such as SCA’s PrizeKiosk, that worked with the financial services industry.
Strategies:
- Place the grand prize, a Ferrari 360 Spider, on display in the booth.
- Ask attendees to enter the last six digits of their credit or debit card numbers into the SCA PrizeKiosk.
- Award the Ferrari if the numbers matched those preselected by SCA.
- Offer secondary prizes such as iPods and a weekend dream car rental to keep excitement surrounding the promotion.
Results:
- Cardtronics generated six times the leads as compared to the previous year’s show.
- "This chance to win promotion gave us the ‘gee whiz’ factor we were looking for and helped build a compelling theme for our tradeshow presence. We were told by many that we were the talk of the show!" said a representative for Cardtronics.
