Dallas Mavericks “Military Appreciation Night” Half-Court Shot
The Dallas Mavericks weren’t the only winners at their Military Appreciation Night game; Forest Smith of Fort Hood also left the arena $10,000 richer, thanks to SCA. Smith won the Half-Court Shot challenge when he hit a half-court shot with his nephew by his side.
Objectives:
- Thank military personnel for their service.
- Extend the Armed Forces Insurance sponsorship of the Appreciation Night.
Strategies:
- Invite active military personnel to register online for two free tickets to a Dallas Mavericks game and the chance to win $10,000.
- Choose one armed service member in attendance to attempt a half-court shot at the game.
- Award the $10,000 grand prize if the shot is made.
Results:
- Forest Smith hit the shot and took home $10,000.
- “We have used SCA for years because they are the leader in the industry. They are creative thinkers and are flexible enough to help us meet our sponsor’s objectives. We are always looking for the next big idea that will attract sponsors so we often go to SCA before we make our presentations. It’s been a great relationship for us,” said Ryan Mackey, Senior Director of Corporate Sponsorships for the Dallas Mavericks.
