With a high-profile promotion from SCA, you’ll be watching your ratings grow, increasing your reach, and making a long-lasting impression with your viewers. You’ll also be protected against financial risk, because we pay the prize if there’s a winner. SCA offers a variety of on-air games and storefront contests that can be used as a stand-alone promotion or as a partnership with a local sponsor.
PROMOTION IDEAS
- Sports Contests
- Sports Contests are a great way to tie the action on the playing field to a cash prize for a randomly selected viewer, whether you partner with a home sports team or a local sponsor. SCA can tailor a promotion to fit any market and season — baseball, hockey, football, basketball, motorsports, golf, and more. Choose from player performance programs, spectator contests, or a prediction game. Learn more...
- Dial for Dollars
- Dial for Dollars keeps viewers tuned in by offering the chance to win a cash prize if a viewer’s phone number matches the one pre-selected by SCA. Viewers are invited to call the station when they see the “lucky promotion phrase” or graphic flashed on the screen. If a randomly selected caller’s home phone number matches, they win the grand prize, paid for by SCA.
- Turnkey Programs
- These programs add excitement to on-air games or build traffic at a sponsor’s location. SCA’s turnkey programs are not only proven to draw attention, but they are incredibly easy to implement because we provide the equipment and cover your event’s promotional risk. Ask us how you can incorporate Visible Vault™, Money Bags™, or JackPot™ Machine into your next promotion.
- Dollar Bill Game™
- SCA places one-dollar bills into circulation within your broadcast market, with one serial number designated as the grand prize winner. Other bills can also be winners with prizes provided by your sponsors. Viewers tune in to your station to see if they have a bill with the matching serial number.
- Watch and Win Contests
- SCA’s Watch and Win contests are an excellent way to boost ratings during a specific show or time slot. There are many ways to play, but one popular format involves mailing promotional flyers — each printed with a unique identifier — to homes within your broadcast market. During a specific program or sweeps, you broadcast a winning number. If the viewer holding the winning number calls your station within a specified time frame, SCA pays the grand prize.
- Second Chance Lotto
- This promotion gets extra mileage for your station and all those non-winning lottery tickets. Each day following your state lottery drawing, announce your station’s “Second Chance Lotto Numbers” (pre-selected by SCA). If someone in your broadcast market is holding a ticket from the previous day’s lottery with those exact numbers, your station gets credit for making a millionaire — but SCA pays the prize.
- Game Show Style Contests
- Watch your ratings jump up with our thrill-packed game-show style contests. Contestants are challenged to select the winning envelope for a HUGE grand prize, which SCA will pay in the event of a winner! Invite them to enter at an advertiser's location, and then watch to see if their name is called to play! Tie in an advertiser to sponsor your game-show and let them pay SCA's fee; you'll have a free promotion and plenty of excited viewers. Learn more...
POSITIVE RESULTS
CMT’s “Most Wanted Cash”
Country Music Television (CMT) partnered with SCA to launch the “CMT’s Most Wanted Cash” that gave viewers multiple chances to win big during the month of July. Selected viewers from CMT’s Most Wanted Live Show and ones at home could guess the four-digit code to try to crack the Visible Vault™. The cash prize started out small, then increased to a grand total of $100,000. Great consolation prizes were also awarded, and CMT’s ratings got a huge boost from the promotion.
$50,000 Half court Shot
Knicks fans got a cool shot at $50,000 when MSG Network, the nation’s largest regional sports network, and the New York Knicks teamed up with SCA for a half court shot promotion. Contestants were randomly selected from entries received and then awarded two tickets to the next Knicks’ home game to try for the prize. When the third contestant made the winning shot, SCA wrote the $50,000 check and MSG received the publicity.
