  • Ragan Rector

    Ragan Rector

    Ragan Rector joined the SCA Promotions sales team in 2004. During his time, he has served as a Senior Account Executive, Director of Operations for SCA Greater China, and Director of Business Development for CataBoom, the mobile/digital division of SCA.

    Being involved with several facets of SCA has given Ragan a unique perspective on the services SCA provides. “At the end of the day, our role is to work with our partners to drive and reward their targeted consumer behaviors across any mobile, social, or digital platform.”

    A self-professed fantasy sports junkie, when he isn’t working with fantasy sports platforms to cover their prize offers, Ragan enjoys competing with other SCA employees in their annual fantasy football league. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, playing basketball, and listening to live music.

    A member of the Dallas Fort Worth Interactive Marketing Association, Ragan holds a BA from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a MBA from Texas Christian University.

  • Missy Martin

    Missy Martin

    Missy joined the SCA Team in August 2014 with CataBoom, SCA’s mobile and digital promotions team. She has since then expanded her promotions portfolio and I now selling SCA’s entire line of promotions. Upbeat, outgoing, and quick with a smile, Missy finds the same motivation in both her personal and professional life – to cultivate lifelong friendships with the interesting people she meets.

    A Texas native and graduate from Southwest Texas State University, Missy’s professional background in the sports and music industries gives her a unique perspective in the promotions world. She was a leading revenue-earner in the Dallas Cowboy’s initiative to sell seat options in their new stadium, and she succeeded in relocating the highest percentage of season ticket holders from the old stadium to the new stadium among her peers. When all the seat options had sold, Missy turned her attention to providing Dallas concert-goers unique concert experiences at two Live Nation venues in Dallas. As Director of Sales, Missy found creative ways to offer Live Nation customers more flexible ticket packages with additional VIP perks.

    One of her favorite pastimes is sharing a great meal and wine with family and friends. She also loves to travel, tee off at the links, watch football, volunteer, and ride Harleys. Her guiding philosophy – Look up, get up and never give up! – is a perfect reflection of her spirit for adventure.

  • Jackie Walker

    Jackie Walker

    In May of 1991, Jackie Walker joined the SCA Promotions team. Jackie made the leap from marketing to sales and quickly became one of SCA’s top Account Executives.

    Following a short hiatus to stay at home with her two children, Jackie now spearheads SCA’s agency initiative and overall business development. In her current role, Jackie focuses her efforts on cultivating the company’s relationships with marketing and promotion agencies.
    Jackie is passionate about helping clients understand the benefits and rewards of using the incredible promotional risk management tools SCA has to offer. When not dedicating herself to her work, Jackie enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, and playing tennis.
    Jackie holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.

  • Wendy Collins

    Wendy Collins

    Wendy Collins joined SCA Promotions in 1998. In her role as Director of Risk Management, Wendy is responsible for the development and administration of SCA’s risk programs, as well as the management and compliance of internal processes and procedures.

    In 2011 Wendy was elected to the North American Contingency Association’s (NACA) Board of Directors and served as the President of NACA in 2012. She is also a licensed Texas General Lines P&C Agent and holds non-resident licenses in each of the 50 United States.

    Wendy is guided by her personal philosophy to “always strive to do better.” Her professional goals are centered around a desire to continue to be involved in the worldwide prize contingency industry, and to help the industry understand who SCA Promotions is and what sets them apart from others.

  • Peter Ford
    READ BIO

    Peter Ford

    In his role as Vice President of Sales for SCAinteractive, Peter Ford is involved in all aspects of the sales process including promotion strategy, customer interaction, and operations. SCA’s digital promotions include social media, Web-based games, text messaging, contests and sweepstakes.

    Peter has extensive work experience in interactive media. He was a partner in SportsMark Promotions; one of the first companies to realize the database benefits of Fantasy Sports products. The company went on to become the world's largest provider of interactive fantasy sports games with a database of users counting well into the millions. In 2001, Peter and his team joined forces with SCA, forming SCAinteractive. The combination of 25 years interactive experience with SCA’s promotional know-how is a marriage made in heaven.

    Peter’s life features a wife, two daughters, dogs, music, cooking/eating (in that order), volunteering, and of course the digital medium!

  • Becky R. Young

    Becky R. Young

    For over ten years, Becky Young has worked as an Account Executive with SCA. In this role, her duties include working with companies that can use SCA’s services as well as working with existing clients—agencies, charities, radio stations, retail, and others—on how to increase sales and in-store traffic.

    Prior to SCA, Becky worked in radio for 23 years holding positions as Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager and New Business Development Manager while earning distinguished award for “Sales Achiever and Top Performer” at many stations. During Becky’s radio career, she developed the “Women's Wellness Breast Cancer Awareness Program” which ran in four different markets in Texas, a Sampling Program for a major ice cream manufacturer, and she put together a trade show called “Big Boy Toy Show.” Becky has continued many relationships at SCA that she had in radio.

    Becky has served on the board of TSEA (Trade Show Exhibitor Association) and is a member of the DFWAMA (Dallas/Fort Worth American Marketing Association). She served on the “Marketer of the Year” committee for 2 years and was Co-Chair of the Gala for 2013–2014. Becky is currently serving as President–Elect of DFWAMA for 2014–2015.

    When not hard at work, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with her daughter, husband and friends. Becky appreciates honesty and integrity when dealing with others.

    Becky holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Hendrix College In Conway, Arkansas.

  • Christine Bennett

    Christine Bennett

    Almost 17 years ago, SCA Promotions had the good sense to import Christine Bennett from her hometown in Winnipeg, Canada. Currently, Christine serves as Worldwide Sales Director for SCA. In addition to domestic sales, she has a focus on international business development. Christine enjoys working to provide solutions to clients' marketing and promotional needs by identifying the best online or offline SCA products.

    Christine’s career prior to SCA spanned a diversified background in the marketing and promotions industry through ad agencies, national retail advertising and graphic arts. Yet her strength always rested in managing international business.

    Christine follows a personal philosophy that if you are responsible and honest, everything else will fall into place. No one can destroy your integrity but you.

    When not working, Christine enjoys fitness, music, beaches and laughter. Her personal goal is to maintain a balance between professional and personal responsibilities.

  • Max Rhodes

    Max Rhodes

    In his role as Director of Fishing, Max Rhodes spends his time soliciting and underwriting all fishing business at SCA Promotions. While he has done much to transform the company into the go-to market for fishing-related promotions, he is the first to say there is still work to be done.
    Prior to accepting his position with SCA, Max served as consultant to Aetna’s C&S bonding division, followed by his role as Director of Fishing for J.P. Everhart, National Hole in One.

    Before turning his passion into a career, Max fished as a professional angler for 27 years. Perhaps this explains his love for his job and why his personal goal is to continue doing what he's been doing until he retires...should that ever occur.

    "All I do is talk fishing with my friends all day long."

    Since starting with SCA 16 years ago, Max has been involved in many promotions. His favorite happens to be the largest; the promotion, executed for WTVH Channel 5 in Syracuse, New York, involved tagging 50 fish, with one special fish tagged for the grand prize of $5 million. While there was no grand prize winner, Max remembers the excitement of the day and the $50,000 SCA was privileged with awarding to one lucky angler.

    Max holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.

  • Lisa Lantz

    Lisa Lantz

    Though much of her 18 years of experience is in sales and management, Lisa is a marketer at heart. Each agency partner and promotion presents new and unique challenges, which Lisa tackles with a creative flair and a focus on results. She believes that collaborative work environments produce the best promotional results, and she always pushes herself and others around her to discover something new. These philosophies have helped her forge relationships and design promotion solutions for a variety of clients and their agencies: such as Pepsi, TracyLocke, Nestle, Purina, Tenthwave, HomeGoods, LIME pr, Intel and Taylor Group. These engagements have resulted in prize coverage for promotions, custom instant win solutions, social promotions, lead generation programs and multi-channel promotional campaigns.

    Lisa finds herself constantly inspired by the role innovations in design and technology have not only in our everyday lives, but in fostering dynamic relationships between brands and their consumers. Advancements in technology give marketers new channels to communicate with the audience, and Lisa stays close to the cutting edge of the latest and greatest. A consistent praise she hears from partners is her ability to quickly understand their business and maximize the use of technology to propel them to the next level.

    When not working on promotions, her time is spent with her husband Dale and their twin daughters, Lauren and Ashley.

  • Tanya Mathis

    Tanya Mathis

    Over 15 years ago, Tanya Mathis joined the SCA team. With her assistance, the company has become a leader in the industry with an enviable record of success. In her current role as Marketing Director, Tanya ensures the SCA brand is effectively communicated to SCA clients, businesses and agencies throughout North America and around the world. By overseeing trade shows, public relations, sales collateral and marketing communications, Tanya makes certain the SCA sales force has everything it needs to strategically execute and remain customer-focused throughout all marketing and communication activities.

    Prior to joining SCA, Tanya produced events for a global communications firm. She enjoys spending time with her family, photography and scrapbooking. Her mantra? “Life isn't measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

    Tanya holds a BS in Marketing from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, as well as being a DCMP-DMA Certified Marketing Professional.

  • Autumn Gregg-Smith

    Autumn Gregg-Smith

    Autumn began her career at SCA in 2000 working in administration. It did not take her long to realize that she had the skill set necessary to become a Sales Executive. In 2002, Autumn moved her base of operations to the Gaming Division. As a Sales Executive, Autumn quickly distinguished herself in the management of major accounts throughout the United States, as well as internationally.

    Autumn has developed strategies for effectively managing relationships with vendors and improving customer relationship processes, which have been adopted across the division. Early in 2010, Autumn was promoted to Director of SCA Gaming. She continues to develop innovative promotion solutions, as well as position SCA Gaming to stay ahead of the curve in a very competitive environment.

    When not at work, Autumn enjoys playing sports, cooking and spoiling her babies: Caesar, her Mastiff, and Casey, her Lab.

    Autumn graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

  • JaNell James

    JaNell James

    As Director of Operations, JaNell James plays a crucial role in SCA’s day-to-day operations and future direction. From formulating policies, managing daily operational activities, working with various departments (like Accounting and Legal) on compliance matters, to overseeing special projects as well as managing the HR and Administrative departments, JaNell ensures SCA operates smoothly.

    JaNell has been part of the SCA team for over 10 years and first started as an Account Coordinator to the Vice President of Sales. In that role she became well-versed in the excitement of SCA’s many different contests and promotions. Since 2010, she has held various roles of increasing responsibility before taking on her current position.

    When not working, JaNell, a Dallas native, enjoys doing volunteer work, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Adam Ford

    Adam Ford

    With one foot in Marketing and the other in Sales, Adam shares his unique insights on online media and interactive promotions with anyone who will listen. In the years since graduating top of his class in International Marketing, Adam has developed a strong digital marketing/promotion design foundation, with a focus on end-user engagement. We all know promotions provide an excellent opportunity to drive eyeballs and collect data. Less obvious is how to leverage this benefit to meaningfully interact with an audience, and create branded content to share. This is where Adam excels.

    As a Canadian transplant in Texas, Adam is still learning how to integrate “y’all” into his vocabulary. When not at his desk, he can be found around town with his camera, cooped up with an espresso at the local coffee shop, or at home romancing his guitar. He likes to cook but despises the cleanup, so chances are y’all may also come across him analyzing the menu at his favorite Thai restaurant.

  • Todd Overton

    Todd Overton

    In 1991, Todd Overton joined the SCA Promotions sales team. In his current role as Senior Account Executive, Todd focuses on driving sales through the creation and cultivation of client relationships.

    Throughout his 23 years with SCA, Todd has been guided by the philosophy: “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” His favorite promotion was covering the prizes for the game show “Deal or No Deal” when it first aired. “None of us knew going in the risk aversion of the contestants. As it turned out, many contestants took the bank offers and ran with the money, which benefited us and our underwriting partners. The show turned out to be wildly popular and was the highest rated show at the time, which made it a lot of fun to be a part of.”

    One of the things he likes best about working at SCA is the people, “I have become friends with many clients over the years and, of course, friends with many of the crew at SCA. I've been very lucky to experience both and have those special relationships.”

    Todd served as President of the North American Contingency Association (NACA) and holds a BBA in Marketing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, as well as a Master of Sports Administration from Ohio University.

  • Chris Hamman

    Chris Hamman

    Chris Hamman prides himself on doing things well, being accurate and not making a mistake. Yet, after nearly 21 years with SCA Promotions, Chris understands one must take risks from time to time in order to be successful.

    In his role as Vice President, Chris's primary responsibility is to assess the promotional risks clients bring to SCA Promotions. Not only does he evaluate the risk and potential benefits of new and proposed promotions, he also uses his skills and industry knowledge to adapt traditional promotions and product lines to new technologies and platforms.

    Chris, who earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, finds every promotion offers both challenges and valuable lessons in risk assessment. “Sometimes you think you have it made in this business” says Chris, “then a 72-year-old man makes a three-point shot, granny-style, to win $250,000.”

  • Robert "Bob" Hamman

    Robert "Bob" Hamman

    When he's not competing in national and international bridge tournaments, Bob Hamman—ranked the world's top bridge player in 1983, and from 1985 through 2004—can be found inventing new promotional sweepstakes and gaming contests, and developing the mathematical models used to rate the risks and analyze the odds associated with large money promotions.

    Hamman, who founded SCA Promotions in 1986, has built the company into the world's largest provider of prize coverage for promotions, contests and games. He is behind many of the million dollar challenges seen at nationally televised sporting events, as well as the online lotteries and sweepstakes that have transformed the promotional industry in recent years. He has planted a $500,000 promotional prize in a Hershey's bar, guaranteed the performance bonuses of professional golfers and racecar drivers, and covered prizes in fishing tournaments, fast-food restaurant chain contests, consumer products, scratch-and-win campaigns, casino jackpots, bingo, radio and television contests and even an olive-in-one toss into a martini.

    Prior to launching SCA Promotions, Hamman managed his own insurance brokerage firm, Hamman Group Insurance Services Inc. He has also spent the past four decades working as a professional bridge player. Arguably the best known name in bridge, Hamman has won 12 world championships, over 50 national championships and was named American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) player of the year three times. He was inducted into the ACBL Hall of Fame in 1999.

    A native of Los Angeles, Hamman moved to Dallas in 1969 when Ira Corn hired him to play on his professional bridge team, the Aces, which brought the world championship back to the U.S. in 1970. Hamman's education in figuring odds came from studying mathematics at California State University at Northridge, and from what Hamman terms “the school of hard knocks at the bridge table.” Hamman is author of “At The Table - My Life and Times,” an autobiography and bridge guide written with Brent Manley. It recounts his career as a professional bridge player.

    Adam began his career at SCA after graduating from college in 1996 and quickly established himself as a hard-working, dedicated, and productive member of the team. For the past 18 years, Adam has worked to locate prospects, foster relationships, and work with potential clients to find the perfect promotion to fit their needs and meet their goals. In his role as Senior Account Executive, Adam serves as a reliable and creative resource for clients, developing new and innovative concepts that drive successful national brand promotions for clients like Tropicana, Toys “R” Us, Walgreens, Alltel, Hostess, and Papa John's.

    Of the many memorable promotions Adam has had the privilege to be involved with, one of his favorites is the Golfsmith “Win With Phil” promotion. This promotion resulted in Callaway awarding free drivers to thousands of Golfsmith customers after Phil Mickelson won that year's Masters tournament.

    When not working, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing basketball and tennis, and listening to live music. Adam holds a BA from Harvard University.

    Ray French

    After more than twenty years with SCA Promotions, Ray French has secured promotional risk coverage on 4,000 promotions totaling over $2.5 billion in cash and prizes. In his role as Senior Account Executive, Ray has secured successful campaigns with big brands, such as General Mills, Coors, Sony, and Chrysler. Ray credits his success to his ability to partner with clients.

    “Forming partnerships with my clients is critical,” says Ray. “Working together as true partners provides valuable insight that can turn a good promotion into a home run.”

    Ray has been involved in promotions ranging from a $5,000 world record frog jump, to a chimpanzee pulling the winning numbers for Pepsi's “Play for a Billion” promotion series, considered by Ray as his career highlight. Running for two consecutive years, no other promotion has offered the chance to win such a lucrative prize.

  • Bill A. Riley

    Bill A. Riley

    B.A. Riley joined SCA Promotions sales team as an Account Executive in 2011. An Ohio native, Riley comes to SCA with a Master of Business Administration from Wright State University, as well as a Master of Sports Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University.
    Along with his extensive education, Riley brings experience as the Marketing Coordinator at Jack Nicklaus’s Annual Memorial Tournament and Operations Assistant at the 37th Ryder Cup Matches. An avid sports fan, B.A.’s favorite activities include waterskiing, playing golf with his father, and he hopes to one day be a professional curler (yes, that crazy Winter Olympics game where people slide rocks on ice).

    Alongside two fellow Ohio University MSA alumni—Paul Panzera and Todd Overton—the halls of SCA are often filled with chants of “OU, Oh Yeah” and “Bobcats Against the World!”

  • Paul Panzera

    Paul Panzera

    14 years ago, Paul Panzera joined the SCA Promotions team. In his current role as Senior Account Executive, Paul’s focus is threefold: Sell, sell, sell.

    Paul has had the privilege of working on many promotions, but none he enjoyed as much as the Taco Bell “Think Outside the Park” promotion that ran during the 2002 World Series in San Francisco, CA. For the promotion, Taco Bell partnered with Pepsi and Major League Baseball to offer every U.S. resident a free taco if any batter could knock a home run out of the park and hit the fast-food giant's target floating in McCovey Cove.

    Prior to working with SCA, Paul spent several years working on grassroots marketing and event management for the NFL, as an Account Executive for Host/USA. Paul also has experience working in marketing and promotions within the LSU Athletic Department.

    When not focused on selling, Paul enjoys hanging out with friends, college football and the Boston Red Sox. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Memphis and a Master’s in Sports Management from Ohio University.
